Yingke Greece Grand Opening

On June 4, 2015 Yingke Law Firm held its Greek Office's Grand Opening ceremony and reception banquet in Athens. Hundreds of guests from government authorities, legal circle, financial community and media milieu joined the ceremony. Mr. Xiangrong Mei (Managing partner, Global partner) and Ms. Lin Yang (Director of Yingke International, Global partner) of Yingke Law Firm, together with Mr. Petros Machas, on behalf of the Greek Law Firm of MACHAS& PARTNERS, attended the event.

Yingke Law Firm Greece office operates through exclusive cooperation between the two firms. MACHAS & PARTNERS law firm was founded by Mr. Petros Machas in 2011. The establishment of Yingke Law Firm Greece office sees a great progress of Yingke's global strategy. It will devote to promoting the bilateral business and investments between the countries.

According to the exclusive cooperation agreement, MACHAS & PARTNERS will provide its services to all Greece-related issues under the name of Yingke, which will help the firm to unify and standardize its services worldwide.

During the interview, Mr. Xiangrong Mei and Ms. Lin Yang both suggested that the economy of many countries is recovering, including several European countries; meanwhile, Chinese enterprises are learning more and more concerning Greek investment and trade environment. Greece has become a significant role in EU. It is believed that the business and investment between the two countries will make a great progress under the Chinese‘go global’strategy. Chinese investors have strong interests in many industries in Greece, such as real estates. There will be more and more investments in the near future.

It is the historical‘duty-call’that makes Yingke to open its Greek office. Greece is one of the most important counties in Europe. Yingke law firm will cover the whole Southeast Europe through Yingke Greece office, including Greece, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Kosovo, The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Moldova, Romania and Serbia.“One Belt and One Road”as the new strategy in China will take Greece, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania and Cyprus as the coastal country. In compliance with the requirements of development of China and global strategy of Yingke, the establishment of Yingke Greece will make a positive influence on“One Belt and One Road”strategy in China. Yingke Greek office will mainly provide legal and commercial services in fields of M&A, foreign investments, real estates and international dispute resolution. In addition, Yingke will also cooperate closely with its other international offices to provide full-ranged services to clients.
